Completed in October 1964, this forty nine bed complex is a fully licensed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing care.  It consists of three wings of long term care for residents .  Our philosophy can best be stated as:

Pleasant surroundings and gracious living in Retirement Years.
Skilled nursing care for those requiring this service.
A program of social services, therapy and activities, including weekly religious services for worship and devotion for all denominations.

TYPES OF ACCOMMODATIONS

Rooms are semi-private, however private rooms can be requested at an additional fee and are subject to availability.  All rooms are neat, clean and completely furnished.  Residents are encouraged to bring personal items to help them feel at home in their new environment.  Visiting areas for family and friends are also available.

SERVICES

Social Services, Housekeeping, central dining or tray food service, special diets, bathing, personal laundry and linen services and daily activities are provided for all residents.  Transportation to and from medical clinics and hospitals is provided at no extra charge

NURSING CARE

Professional nurses are on duty 24 hours each day.  Such medication and therapy normal to the best nursing care facilities are available under the direction of the medical staff and director of nursing.  Physical Therapy and restorative nursing is available on a daily basis. A staff of doctors and a Family Nurse Practitioner are available on a visiting staff basis as well as Occupational Therapy and Dietary consultants.  A working affiliation with a transfer agreement has been arranged with the Wishek Community Hospital.  Ambulance service is also available 24 hours a day.

COST OF SERVICES

Operating on a non-profit basis, the facility is a Medicare-Medicaid licensed facility. Costs are based on the extent of care required and are determined by the North Dakota Department of Health.

ADMISSION

Admission can take place after all prior arrangements have been made, including a personal application, screening, physical examination and recommendation by the attending physician.   No applicant may be admitted that has been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude without producing sufficient evidence of subsequent good conduct and reformation of character so as to satisfy administration.  Each application will be considered on a case by case basis.
